If I threw a grill away every time a mouse built a nest in it theyd be stacked up in the lawn like cordwood or Id have half a fortune made taking them to the scrap yard. Dump the worst wire brush the grills and fire it on high long enough to take the boogie man outta there for ya and go to cookin. Create wood barriers in the holes that are not likely to heat up.
It is impossible for the mice to cut there way through the wooden barrier so blocking off any of the major holes using the wooden barrier can significantly reduce the chances of mice getting into the grill. Store the grill inside the housegarage after use. Mouse nest in grill with live mice.

Theyre moving on up to the big time to that deluxe apartment in my grill moving on out to the hole in the deck. So about a month ago I went out to scrub down and fire up my Weber Summit grill. And a critter jumped out.
I screamed like a little girl flung my scrubber at it and ran back in the house. When the DH got home I sent him out to assess the situation. A mother mouse had made a nest on the grate.
